WOT Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This website and the personal data collected through it are operated by WOT - Wide Open Throttle (the "Club", "WOT", "we", "us"), a motorcycle community brand.
WOT is responsible for your personal data (the "data controller" under applicable data protection law).
You can reach us about privacy at any time at privacy@wot-club.com.
2. What we collect
When you sign up on wot-club.com, we collect:
- Your email address (provided by you);
- Your Telegram username (provided by you);
- Your consent choices (which of the contact options you agreed to, and when);
- Basic technical data automatically (e.g. approximate region, device/browser type, and the time of your submission) for security, anti-abuse, and to understand how people reach us.
We use a bot-protection (CAPTCHA) tool on the form; this may process limited technical signals to distinguish humans from automated abuse.
We do not collect your real name, date of birth, payment details, government IDs, wallet addresses, or any financial information through this teaser site.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use the data above only to:

We rely on your consent for all marketing/launch communications. You gave that consent through the separate checkboxes on the sign-up form, and you can withdraw it at any time (Section 7). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew it.
4. Future club memberships, rewards, and digital benefits
WOT is a membership community. Now or in the future, WOT may offer digital memberships, loyalty or rewards programmes, badges, tokens, NFTs, or other blockchain-based or digital benefits as part of club membership.
By signing up and giving the consents on the form, you agree that we may contact you about the club and about any such current or future membership benefits, rewards, and opportunities.
Important:
- Participation in any membership, rewards, token, NFT, or similar programme is always entirely optional.
- Any such programme will have its own separate terms, eligibility criteria, and conditions, presented to you at the relevant time, and will be subject to the laws applicable at that time and in your location.
- Signing up here, and agreeing to be contacted, does not entitle you to, or constitute an offer of, any token, financial product, security, or investment of any kind, and nothing on this site should be read as financial, investment, or legal advice or as a solicitation.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Ever.
We share it only with service providers who help us run the service, strictly on our instructions and under appropriate data-protection terms. For example: our email/messaging delivery provider, our hosting and database provider (Google Firebase), and our bot-protection provider. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of WOT, our members, or others.
If our business or its assets are reorganised or transferred, your data may transfer as part of that, subject to this policy.
6. Where your data is stored, and international transfers
Your data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure and may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the EEA/UK. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism) to protect it.
7. Your choices and rights
You can opt out at any time:
- Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send; or
- Reply to any message asking to be removed; or
- Email privacy@wot-club.com with the subject "Remove me".
Opt-outs are processed within 48 hours, and on request we will delete your record.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@wot-club.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data only until the earlier of: (a) you opt out or ask for deletion; or (b) it is no longer needed for the launch and club communications you signed up for. If you opt out, we remove your record (we may keep a minimal suppression record, e.g. your email in hashed form, solely to ensure we don't contact you again).
9. Security
Your data is stored using access-controlled, industry-standard infrastructure, and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
10. Age
This website and the WOT teaser are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit your details. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as WOT develops (for example, when membership or rewards programmes launch). If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. The version in force is always the one published here.
